When this cute pirate penguin does show up it is fun to try and learn just exactly where he will be. When he is visiting, he will frequently show up on a particular server at a time and move from place to place. Paid members who come across him can get a exclusive autographed background card for their players card. When Rockhopper is on-line he seems just like a big red penguin with the exception of that he wears a pirate hat, and a long black beard which help him stand apart from the rest of the penguins in the crowd.

You can see whenever he is coming by looking for his boat on the horizon from the telescope at the top of the lighthouse. You can gradually see his ship, the Migrator nearing, as he gets closer and closer in the week before he arrives. A well-known occurrence in early 2008. Rockhopper's ship hit a huge iceberg and was sunk. When that happened,he procured Yar, his puffle, and rowed to shore in a little rowboat. Gary directed all of Club Penguin in a massive project to repair Rockhopper's ship. There are some fundamental guidelines you should stick to if you want to discover Rockhopper when he is online. Weekends are when he is most likely to appear since there tends to be more players online. Ask your pals to work with you to discover him. Each of you proceed to a different server and watch. Help look for him by utilizing a Rockhopper tracker to assist you locate the server he is on and then glance around the various rooms. Take your time. First things first. The free item for the party this year is the Santa Hat. It's the same exact hat they gave out last year, but if you didn't get it then, go check it out. You can get the hat inside a big green box right in the middle of the Ski Village.

The next thing to go see is the the Night Club with the Santa Workshop and Sleigh Ride. The workshop is up on the second floor of the Night Club in the room also known as the lounge. There are tons of conveyor belts carrying toys and getting them ready to go on Santa's Sleigh. If you are a paid member of Club Penguin, you can go up the staircase in the back of the room to get onto the roof and do the brand new Sleigh Ride mini-game. The goal of this game is to help deliver presents while the sled flies over chimneys and roof tops. You need to press a big red button to drop toys into chimneys and if you can get 15 of them in you'll win the game and a very cool prize. When you get 15 gifts into the chimneys you finish the game and receive a very neat Santa Suit as a free prize. It goes great with the free Santa Hat from the ski village and also the Santa beard from last year's party.

That's not all, though. There are many other things to do at the Christmas Party on CP. So much of the island is decorated with lots of very cool surprises.

If you go to the iceberg there is a sad little tree in the middle of it. It looks like the Christmas Tree from the Charlie Brown TV special. Try to get a lot of other penguins to join you on the iceberg and if you do, it will start to grow into a huge decorated Christmas Tree. So get a lot of friends to go on the iceberg and check it out!

Want to see Santa Claus? Well, there's a big Santa chair up on the second floor of the coffee shop. It looks like those Santa meeting places in department stores. If you want to pretend to be Santa Claus, put on your Santa Suit, hat and beard and sit in the chair.

Go to the forest and you'll see the biggest Christmas tree ever. It's so big you can only see the bottom, which is crowded with lots of toys and presents. I wish you could get some of those toys for your igloo.

If you go inside the Pizza parlor you'll see that all the small tables have been replaced with one long table that is decorated for a Christmas Pizza Dinner. There is one giant pizza pie right in the middle of the table and if you click it, you'll serve the pizza slices onto the plates. Click on the slices and they'll be eaten! You can also click on the fruitcake and the big fish to change those as well.

The Dojo is decorated with many pretty colored lights on strings and the stone puffle statues out in front have Santa hats on.

There are plenty of other surprising secrets and fun things to do for the Xmas Party and if you check out the whole island, you'll find plenty of fun stuff to see. The party is really fun this year so make sure you check it out before it ends.
